What kind of exfoliation do I use before the spray tan?

Salt scrubs made from natural organic ingredients are best. Dry brushing is also another natural form of exfoliation.

What kind of moisturizer do I use post spray tan?

Free from mineral oil, perfume, and harsh ingredients.

How long will my spray tan last?

The length of your tan depends on the maintenance afterwards. Most Dolce Glow tans last 8-10 days. Most people notice their tan begin to fade after 5 days. Moisturizing and staying hydrated are two important factors that help maintain color. Refrain from showering in hot water to prolong your tan as well.

What are the rinse-off times?

Anywhere from 8- 10 hours for the original treatment. My rapid treatment is 4 hour rinse time.

Can I still tan outside?

Yes! The most important thing to remember is that the solution does not contain any UV protection/sunscreen. I recommend using water based SPF over your spray tan. You will still be able to develop a tan naturally in the sun while keeping skin protected.

My skin is peeling, can I still get a spray tan?

No! I do not advise having a spray tan over peeling skin or recent sunburned skin. The full peel and heal process can take anywhere between 3-6 weeks. You will have to reschedule your appointment if peeling occurs.

Will jacuzzis, pools or saunas remove my tan?

Yes, it will remove some of the tan and/or lighten it. Seawater, chlorine, and hot tubs can accelerate the fading of the tan. I recommend wearing waterproof sunscreen to help repel the water.

Can I tan if i'm pregnant?

DHA is FDA approved and only penetrates the outermost layer of the skin. However, I do recommend that you consult with your physician first.

Can my teenager tan?

Yes, only with parent's consent.

I have sensitive skin, can I still tan?

Absolutely! If you are concerned with sensitivities, I recommend scheduling a patch test prior to coming in for a full tan.

I have an event, when should I schedule my appointment?

The best time to get sprayed before any event is 2-3 days prior.

How soon after my session can I workout?

You may workout as normal after your first rinse. I do, however, suggest that you refrain from wearing any tight clothing that can rub your fresh spray tan.

Will I look orange after I get tanned?

No, you will not appear orange with Dolce Glow Tan. I use the highest quality solution and guarantee that you will not turn orange.

Will the cosmetic bronzer rub off on my clothes/bed sheet?

Yes, unfortunately in some instances the tan may stain your sheets or clothing but I recommend if you are sleeping in your tan while it develops that you wear full pajamas, to minimize the risk of staining your sheets. This also helps maintain skin to skin contact (i.e hands touching skin). The bronzers are just like make-up and can be removed from sheets/clothing and washed following the care instructions.
